Andrew Chiffey

Global Development Manager, Johnson Matthey PLC, 1996-2025

“We had the pleasure of working with Andrew when he was a senior in-house patent counsel at a major chemical company. The work focused on a series of high-profile patent opposition and appeal actions before the European Patent Office.

He is a highly skilled and commercial patent attorney with extensive knowledge of EPO proceedings. His particular skill was to coordinate access to expert scientists and the allocation of resources to have experiments undertaken within strict time constraints. He cultivated a positive, collaborative environment, and his adept management of the technical and legal teams was instrumental in the success of these actions.”
